Location:

Pittsburgh, USA

Scale:

110,000 sq.ft (total built up)

Project Objectives:

Fungi Network addresses inequities in Homewood through circularity, pedagogy, and biomaterials, countering disinvestment and fostering social and ecological resilience.

Partnering with Construction Junction, it enhances the circular economy with mycelium and unprocessed materials. The project repurposes existing structures, integrating research and processing facilities.

Residents gain training and job opportunities in decarbonized materials. Celebrating community culture, it provides artist spaces and fosters a Just Transition toward sustainability.
